Exactly. Even in canon verse, Merlin's morals and values are always somehow ambiguous, which I suppose is also a part of his charm. In that sense, John's appeal to Sherlock and Arthur's appeal to Merlin are actually pretty similar...

Wow, that'd be a long time. If I remembered correctly, isn't Sherlock S3 going to come out, like, at the end of this year or something? *panics*
Also, I see that Sherlock and Merlin, as geniuses, have got pretty different ways of thinking and deducing, Sherlock's more complex and Merlin's more direct(it's almost like an intuition). I'd really love to see who would work it out first if they start at the same case at the same time ;)
