Sam's Running Outfit

Sam decides to take up running, so he buys a sporty hoodie and some track pants. The hoodie is grey with reflective stripes running up the arms and white stripes on the shoulders. It’s got a little diamond shaped logo on the left breast. The track pants are standard track pants.

APPEARANCES:

Sam wears this outfit at the beginning of Shut-Up, Dr. Phil (8x05), when he comes in from his run and tries to get Dean to tell him what’s wrong.

I enjoyed seeing a sweaty Sam. :) Plus, it's always nice to be reminded that Sam (attempts to) lives as healthy a lifestyle as possible when a hunter. Eating salads, working out... We never see Dean doing any of that. Possibly why Sam is more muscular. :D

Indeed. It always kind of makes me laugh, because Dean talks as though he's the "jock" and Sam's the "nerd" - but if you actually really look at them, it's Sam who was all into sports as a kid and still works out...and it's Dean who's a trekkie and enthusiastic about all things usually viewed as "nerd" culture. I mean, neither one of them fit into their boxes completely - because Sam DOES love computers more than Dean, and Dean loves cars more than Sam...but still!

Dean's more of a 'nerd' than Sam, I think, but the labels don't really apply to them 100%.

whenever I see this scene I always think of that hilarious outtake when Jared takes Sam through all the crazy stretches trying to break Jensen, so that hoodie will always bring a big smile to my face. :) Plus Sam's face is funny even in the final take where he's ostensibly playing it straight. :P

I LOVE the boys in track gear, and it happens soooo infrequently. (Pseudo-RoboSam in Mystery Spot, Dean at Lisa's...)

Haha, indeed. Yeah, I think Sam (and Dean) usually just sleeps in track pants and that's it (or all we see anyway.)

"Dead Sammy Shirt" is a much more depressing name than the "Plaid shirt of Angst" name that I gave it. :P
