I may have to turn back off anon commenting. I am getting a lot of spam all of a sudden and it's really quite annoying.

I have only gotten one spam comment. Thank goodness.

I got about ten between last night and this morning. They seem to come in waves.

I hope you like them whenever you do read them! I'm not sure if I have insights, but I guess I'll let you be the judge. ;)

They seem to come in waves. I can't decide. Since allowing anon-commenters, I have gotten a FEW serious anon-comments, but they're still outnumbered by the spambots - so yeah, not sure it's worth it.

I've suddenly got a load of spam too! Thankfully I only have one public post but it's still annoying. I keep seeing it in my email and thinking "yey comments!" but then it isn't. :(

Exactly! I get all excited and then it's about adult web cams... um, no thank you. :P

I've turned off anon comments for now. I may turn them on again in a few days and see if I still get inundated. 95% of my entries are public, so there's a lot for them to comment on. :P

Actually, come to think of it, all the fic I've ever posted (the grand total of... 4 of them) is public too. But I've not got any comment on those. Only my "friends only" page... Strange.

Also, I wasn't aware that I had anon commenting on. Huh.

They seem to pick an entry and comment repeatedly. I think 80% of the spam I got over the past 24 hours was on my Damned Demented Demons masterpost. :P
