Ah, it's that time of year again, when my strict spoiler policy means that I might have to unfollow all the tumblrs I started following in the summer because people don't tag the preview clips (or gifs or discussion from the preview clips) with a unique blockable tag... 

But, onto things that aren't frustrating....

Two things that warmed the cookies of my heart from the latest Supernatural Magazine:

1. Rick Worthy (AKA: The Alpha Vampire)

The thing I want people to know is that Supernatural has reinvigorated my love of acting. I've been in the game for 20 years and I thought about retiring, but Supernatural has kept me in play. There have been other shows where I wasn't treated with a great deal of professionalism and respect, so Supernatural was a refreshing change - Jared and Jensen are two awesome dudes that appreciate what they have and love what they have - and the entire crew is the same way. It's just been a great experience. I've been spoiled, so when it's over I'm going to be like, "Aw, Man, what's the next thing that can be just as wonderful as this one?" 

2. Frederic Lehne (YED) or rather, the fact that Jared has birthday parties for his dogs: 

I was with the boys once for Jared's dog's birthday. He had a big party in his trailer. Jared, Jensen, and I sat around playing guitars and singing. That was fun.

Adorable.

I'm not even a dog-person, but there's just something so ridiculous endearing about Jared having a birthday party for his dog.

I just love it and feel so much happiness and pride about being an obsessive fan of this show when I hear comments like this from guest actors. You hear so many stories about directors or guest actors being on set and how some of the lead actors are divas or something similar. Or you hear stories about the tension that exists on set, with it being so thick you could cut it with a knife. Or temper trantrums, or unhappy people.

So, when I hear about how professional, yet fun and welcoming J2 are with everyone, which spreads out to all the crew - you just can't help but smile and feel a sense of pride to be a fan of this show. It all just makes me love Jensen and Jared that much more. They get it! They understand how lucky they are to be involved in this show, to have worked steadily for this long, to make the money they are making, to do what they love and to be tested creatively day in, day out. They get it! They are not spoiled by all the adoration, by the success - they continue to be humbled and work hard each and every day - as well as all the crew, the writers, the producers and production staff. And then how friendly and welcoming everyone is to us fans. Yep, hearing these things just brings this big huge smile to my face, and indeed, warms my heart. As you said, Adorable, truly Adorable.

It's reassuring, knowing that you are giving your support and love to people who actually deserve it and don't seem to take it for granted.

You really do get the sense that J2 don't take this experience for granted. They know that their lives could be the exact opposite. Struggling actors looking for that one part. I love that part of them, and then the fact that they tell us at Conventions that they continue to work hard because of us. Because they know we are out there waiting for the next episode, loving this show to the 'nth degree. I also love it that they haven't gone "all Hollywood" like a lot of actors do when they find success. All of those involved with the show really do deserve the adoration and good things.

I'm not a dog-person, but the thought of Jared having birthday parties for his dogs is just adorable and 'awwww'-worthy LOL I can just imagine him putting those birthday hats on them, and making a cake out of dog food, and giving them presents :) They have the entertainment part down!

quick question...not totally related to this post, but;

Which episode/what's happening in the little gif you have for "amused" I cant place it, but everytime you use it, it makes me smile

The gif, I believe, is from Tall Tales, when they're hearing about the "alien abduction." But I could be wrong about that.

I'm sure Jared's dog(s) know that there are a lot of people around petting them and using a nice tone of voice - so I'm sure they're happy. :)
