Interesting! I had not heard that story about the Js getting the scene rewritten. I'm kind of proud of them for that - as much as I think Sam and Dean were pressing their luck, it WOULD have been out of character for them to leave the boy.
Although I thought that last week's and this week's episodes were great, and although they feel complete to me...I also think that this year the pacing of the show has been off. I'm really hoping that they correct it for next season, because it's rather frustrating. They had a similar problem in S5, but I don't remember it being quite this bad.
