Moved! (AKA: Oh god, I have been internetless for 5 days!)

I have successfully moved into my new apartment! 

It was a 3 day move...in order to move my sister 5 small blocks to the North, and to move me 8 blocks to the South.

Things went relatively smoothly. We managed to get out of the old place with minimal theatrics. I am VERY glad to leave behind the prick of a landlord (as well as the silverfish infestation). I will miss my mountain view and the raccoons on the roof.

The main problem struck when, even though I had scheduled the internet-setup-guy to come in the afternoon on March 1st, he instead came in the morning. My new landlord was here getting the place ready for me, so he let him in and the guy SUPPOSEDLY set everything up. 

Only he didn't.

So, long story short. I was without internet for the past 5 days. I only just got it back this afternoon.

I have to say that despite the screw-up with set-up, I'm really happy with the ISP that I chose so far. I chose an independent ISP (not one of the big 3 in Canada). Everyone I talked to on the phone was super nice and helpful and friendly. I didn't even need to ask for a discount on my bill, they offered it as soon as they realized what had happened. The guy I called on the 1st, graciously let me yell at him even though it wasn't his fault, and instead of telling me to calm down or whatever, he just yelled along with me about what a shitty situation it was and how frustrated he also was with it...and yeah, I kind of wanted to date him after that - I'm not sure if that makes me weird. He probably lives in Toronto though. I think it's a Toronto based company. Also, you know, there's the fact that I don't know anything about him besides the fact that he's very good at his job. :-P 

Now, I believe I have a LOT of internet to catch up on...I hear there were cake shenanigans...

There will be pictures! The place is still in shambles a bit. I've still got to unpack the kitchen and then get rid of all the empty boxes...and then, THEN there will be pictures.

I took some "before I unpacked" pictures...but they look horrific. I'd prefer to show everyone once I get the place set up. :)

Oh, wow. Moving drama. No matter when it happens or where it happens, something will go wrong. It's one of those natural laws.

It looks like it was a really good con(there hasn't been too much to come out of it so far, unfortunately). Jensen looks like he was really relaxed, so that's awesome.

Welcome to you new place. So excited for you - and almost a little jealous. I'm kinda in the mood for a move, though don't really want to go through the motions of moving. Just the thought of moving tires me out, but someplace new, that's exciting.

Thanks! Yeah, I like moving, but I hate moving - if that makes any sense. :P

I've had fun catching up all day. Sounds like it was a great con. There aren't many videos up, it seems, but maybe that'll change over the course of the week. :)

Indeed, I suppose I should be happy that the only thing that didn't run smoothly was my internet set up. We were really worried that our last landlord would give us trouble when we left, but so far he's been cool...we're still waiting on half the damage deposit though, so fingers crossed there.

And yeah, not too many videos from the con yet...hopefully they'll appear during the week. :)

The cake was awesome. I love those guys.

Yea, not a lot of vids right now, but that usually takes a couple of days before we get the onslaught of them. So looking forward to seeing them all, especially the boys.

I moved at the beginning of the month, and I just got internet yesterday, so I totally feel your pain! I checked my email today and had a whopping 98 emails!
