I don't think I was disappointed at all by the episode. It was exactly what I wanted. Personally, I could have done without the evil cliffhanger, but then, I worry far too much about fictional characters for my own good. ;)
The guy who played Jeffrey not only got the emotions down, but he also got his character's physicality down with the injuries...there wasn't one part of his performance that I didn't find believable. (Well, except perhaps the part there he hears a noise and goes down an alley...but then again, we already knew that he was expecting the Winchesters to show up.)
