I slept! Man, having days off really messes with my sleep cycle. After almost three decades, you'd think I'd have learned from this but... no.
If I were Kate- I'd be freakin' honoured! I'd understand being offended if it was a crappy show, but this one is WONDERFUL. :D
As for Sherlock being super-protective. I can DEFINITELY see that. He's got ONE close friend. And, after all, we saw to what lengths he went to protect Irene, even though he'll never see her again.
I'm starting to think that they've kept her alive in-canon (and, arguably, made her closer to Sherlock) for future use. I wonder when Sherlock could use a friend who's on the run, eh?
Also, after considered reflection (and some seriously messed up dreams!) I've decided that I *love* Sherlock being portrayed as a bit of a badass- they take down CIA trained killers! Maybe shouldn't be possible, but there ya go. And I also liked that John was being-a-doctor in this one- it was kinda subtly in the background that he was checking people over and looking after them and that was just... yeah. Me like. :D
So, seeing as I have the day off, I'm going to hunt for fic and squeeze a rewatch in. I'm starting to feel really bad for people who can't find it anywhere. I mean... hello? BBC? You're asking them to wait 'till MAY to see it, ffs! Have you *met* Fandom?!
