This was the episode I realized something was way off with Cas. The whole porn thing, partly. I also thought it was really weird the way he seemed to think that just because Sam's soul was so scarred by the Cage that he should be left there for eternal torture.
Yes, I completely agree. At the time, I didn't really realize that something was horribly off with Cas, but looking back on it now, I do. Even now, I'm still not sure whether him wanting to leave Sam's soul in the cage was OFF or just illogical. Because I completely agree with you - there's really no question that Sam should be saved. Just like you said, after X-number of years locked in his body, maybe it'll go to someplace better.
Some people would consider being stripped naked in front of a stranger a form of sexual assault by itself.
