1. I never thought that Meg was being raped in that scene either. Partially because that would be just TOO overt - I don't think it'd manage to get broadcast - but mostly cos Christian was not really in the right place to do so. And yeah, it's horrific, so it fits. Also (1b if you will) I think you're right about Dean (and Sam too though that becomes apparent later) being raped in Hell. And I don't get (and I really hope this doesn't sound callus, or demeaning or whatever) why people find that so shocking. Rape is a seriously horrible and fucked up thing to do to another person. Of course it would happen in Hell! It wouldn't be Hell otherwise! Yeah I guess Hell can be imagined otherwise, but if you really want to fuck someone up, you mess with their head and you mess with their body. But at the same time, that's the exact reason that IT IS NOT FUNNY. Re: spooning.
2. I love Meg as a bad guy and basically it's all highlighted in this ep. She's like the YED; she's cruel, creepy and badass. But most of all, she's completely unapologetic. And hello longest running reccuring female character! Seen and/or mentoned in S1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. I think the only other female character who comes close is Lisa (well, and Mary I guess but in a way she doesn't count cos they're flashbacks etc.)
