Hepped up on goofballs (or tea)
Apr. 28th, 2009 01:41 pmMan, you want a crazy high? Remove your tolerance for caffeine and then have a cup of tea. I'm so twitchy it's insane. I can't actually remember the last time I had something caffeinated and I now understand why.
But I wanted to stop my habit of napping in the afternoons and this was the only way I could see to avoid it. Not that there is anything wrong with napping in the afternoons - it's just that it means that I never get more than 5-6 hours of a sleep at a time. Don't they say that it's healthier to get 8 hours of sleep in a row? I hope they say that, because this crazy twitchyness better be worth it. Seriously, my leg is going like a rabbit...I am fearful of the crash when this wears off.
Let's divide the rest of this entry into subjects:
TV or Lack Thereof
So, due to circumstances around here, I'm most likely going to lose my TV by the end of the week. I'm hoping AFTER Thursday, but we'll just have to see. This means that I'll no longer be able to watch Supernatural when it airs, and I'll have to wait to download it. I will probably lose my ability to download shows sometime in June, but thankfully by then the season will be over...and then come September, hopefully I will be in Vancouver and have access to TV again. Anyway yeah, not the end of the world, thank you piracy!
If you are wondering what "circumstances around here" are, they involve selling the house and moving to a small bungalow in the middle of some Canadian wilderness...it is beautiful there, but there is no cellphone or high speed internet (satellite internet is faster than dial-up, but slower than high speed, and I haven't figured out how to set up the router to let me download yet). I will, however, be able to go swimming everyday if I so choose, and watch deer eat apples and racoons dig for grubs in my backyard.
The SPN/HP Epic
I'm still undecided about how it's going to end. I have the next chapter or two sort of planned out in my head, but I'm not sure about the rest - should there be a big fight scene? Should I bring demons into it? Demons are in the title, so maybe I should...but in what capacity? I wasn't actually originally planning to have them in, but I've started to wonder recently if my original idea may be a little anti-climactic and unsatisfying. Sigh...anyway, if anyone reads this, tell me your thoughts or if there's anything you particularly want to see happen.
My Icon
Don't you love my icon?! I love my icon. There is something so amazingly sexy about Dean reading a bunch of books on a bed. Man, I love it. Dean/Books OTP! (I have strange kinks).
That being said, I still need more icons....I need one where one of the boys has a "considering" face on, for when I think someone made a good point and it has made me think. I have the "Think Sam - Think!" icon, but that is more for when *I* have to think of something...and then I have the "Huh?" icon with Dean, but the questionmark runs it, because it makes it seem like I don't understand what the person is saying.
Ah well...in time, I guess.
Alright, I should log back into work and see if there's something for me to do before I come down off this caffeine high.

Date: 2009-04-28 06:23 pm (UTC)would bobby do it? also, would love to see harry handle a regular supernatural!ghost hunt a team up would be awesome!
also more power games. its funny when dean makes harry nervous or when harry makes sam and dean say "yes sir" or something to that effect. sorry for the incoherent response but seems like a good time to say it

Date: 2009-04-28 07:01 pm (UTC)I'd also love to see Harry on a regular supernatural!ghost hunt too...but I'm not sure I can work ghosts into the story - Demons, yeah, probably...since demons are probably powerful enough to attract dementors, but ghosts not so much....plus, if I introduce a whole other hunt then the thing is going to end up being 30 chapters long or something ridiculous. Still, I agree that so far the Winchesters have been in Harry Potter's world, but Harry hasn't really been in theirs...so I'll take your comment as a vote to fix that.
Power games, eh? Hmmm...ok, I'll see what I can come up with.

Date: 2009-04-29 11:38 pm (UTC)Reason for the move: I've been living in my Mum's house, because it didn't make sense to get an apartment when they were jerking me around on hours so much at work and I was taking off to Asia for 6 weeks, etc...anyway, Mum's current relationship has come to a sudden end and they need to sell this house, except Mum's finances suck, and houses are too expensive...and yeah...so it's time to make a retreat to our cottage.
Normally, I would be looking for an apartment so that I could stay near the city (they are jerking me around at work less), but since I'm trying to move out to Vancouver at the end of the summer anyway, there's not much point.
So, yeah, looks like I'll be spending most of the summer in the woods!

Date: 2009-04-30 01:45 am (UTC)But on the plus side, it does sound quite idyllic out there. I love living across from a big wildernessy park. And swimming sounds great. I grew up having a pool, and really miss being able to swim all summer long.

Date: 2009-04-30 02:23 am (UTC)And it is rather nice out there. We never had a pool and the house isn't directly on the lake, but growing up we used to drive to the beach everyday at 1pm for a swim whenever we were at the cottage...I wouldn't mind reviving that tradition!
