I love Rory. I like Amy, good character, decent actress, but I enjoy Rory and the Doctor the most.
And that part a while ago where the two of them sit and have that conversation about Rory remembering his two thousand years? Yummy. I had a sudden realization of what it must be like to be one of those kink-driven fans (you know, the ones that have a thing for the characters being unconscious or hugging or eyefucking or being evil) because I enjoyed it more than it deserved. I was like, "oh, so apparently that's a thing for me. Secretly remembering your past life as an immortal plastic roman soldier. Huh. I bet that's not a button that's going to be pushed very often."
So yes. Um. I guess that's a very long way of saying I agree with you, especially about the honeymoon thing. And really, who could blame Amy. You know, he's lucky she just doesn't insist he wear it all the time. (I'm not even sure WHY he looks so damn cool in it. I'm a classicist- I've already got an academic kink for the Romans. Maybe that's it?)
