What's new?

What's everyone doing tonight instead of watching Supernatural? 

Have any of you watched the Smallville finale? If so, what did you think about it? Were your little Superman hearts satisfied?

I was going to go out to dinner with a friend, but we postponed it until tomorrow...so now I'm sitting at home drinking by myself.....bored.

What should I write next? I can't be bothered to do a poll, so just tell me in comments...your options are:
1)Demented!verse DAMMIT THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION
2)A continuation of Two Hunters, a Wizard Family, and the World's Only Consulting Detective Walk into a Cafe.... (it's like the demented!verse AND Sherlock! Yay!)

3)A very short Sherlock/Supernatural thingy set after 6.04

4)JUST SHERLOCK! Write more schmoopy cuddling slash fics! I'll give you a prompt.

5)JUST SUPERNATURAL - I'll give you a goddamn prompt in comments. 

 

Or, you could just chat me up in comments or something and watch me get progressively more drunk as the night wears on....

Also, I've been watching Doctor Who again - does anyone have any thoughts on that?

 

If no one talks to me, I'll just crochet and listen to podcasts - like the technologically savvy grandmother that I shouldn't be yet.

Woo, that's a good suggestion! I'll do a tweet search after I finish this fic I'm reading. :)

I'm drinking white wine. It's both nice and handy! My friends do home-brew wines, and the other week I helped them bottle, so they gave me two bottles of wine to say thanks. White and Red. I'm drinking the white (Gewurztraminer) because the red still needs a month or so before opening.

I've heard about people doing home-brew wines, but I've never had someone I know talk about doing it before! That sounds so fun, like a science experiment or something :)

How do you know how long to cork it in before opening it? Is there like a set timing, or is it mainly trial and error?

I'm spaced out on heavy-duty painkillers (one of my molars needs a crown) and just spent the last 4 hours watching old S1 eps of 'Bewitched' on Hulu.

Tomorrow, I'll probably be over at a friend's place, helping her schlep boxes from the tiny apartment to one of the 2-bedroom ones that just opened up at her complex. Dunno what I'll be doing after that - probably more spacing on hydrocodone.

You're vote is duly noted! I can't remember who originally asked me for that one - but it was back when I did a comment-fic meme, and someone wanted it, but I ran out of time and dude, soulless!Sam is intimidating to write! Nevertheless, I vowed to one day complete said fic! :P

I only did the bottling part! They go to this place that helps them do it, and stores the wine during the more sciencey-stages. Then they call my friends when it's ready, and they go in and poor it into bottles and cork it. I think it's pretty standard that red wines need a little time in the bottle before opening...and yeah, I think it's just trail and error.

But it turns out to be a way cheaper way of doing things, because the wine basically only ends up costing them $2-$3 a bottle. (In Canada, wine is about $10 at cheapest at the store).

Mmm, Js...you know, sometimes they shower and are naked too, and we don't get to see that either, but it doesn't stop being true!

I watched the new Dr. Who season for Mark and I'm thinking after Gaiman's ep this week, I'm done. It's just not that appealing or intriguing to me. Idk. I'm not a huge sci fi person to begin with. I tried.

Ah well, Doctor Who is not for everyone. I'm enjoying the new series, though, I started watching again for Mark as well - and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Gaiman comes up with.

I am going to watch Sherlock but the husband wants to watch too and as we have NO days off together it's slow going to keep up with all our regular stuff and add something new. I'm hoping to catch it this end of this month before the summer shows start up. :D

Oh cool! That's a good way to discover who is out there :)

You know, they don't have to add you for their posts to appear on your friends list - you just have to add them! So, as long as their journal isn't flocked, you are good to go! I have a lot of people who friended me (presumably to keep up with updates to my stories) who I haven't friended back because they've never spoken to me to tell me whether they want me to or not.

So, yeah...it's an option anyway!

And yes, Soulless!Sam is not very warm and cuddly - I also have the further problem in that I usually alternate view-points, so I'd also probably have to write from his POV for part of it. It's intimidating to get into THAT headspace :P
