Stranger Things 2

I have broken my rule of not watching horror movies before bed (or videos after 11pm) and I've also stayed up past my bedtime - but I have now finished Stranger Things 2.  My biggest take away was that even though I didn't like it as much as the first season - it was still enough to hold my attention for two binge-watching sessions - something that no other show has done since...um... well, Stranger Things. So, well done. 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm sure I'l think of more things to say tomorrow... I gotta go get a ridiculously small amount of sleep now.



 

Good News and Bad News

Good News: I have more time to write!

Bad News: I lost one of my jobs.

So, my lovely year of living comfortably is over and it's back to "just scraping by"... thankfully, I still have my second job - now my ONLY job.... I've asked if they might be able to give me more hours - but we'll see. I did survive on part-time pittance before, so I know I can do it again. And right now that job WILL cover rent and my "must pay" bills. So it's just food and incidentals that I have to worry about... and yeah, if they give me a few more hours a week, that might turn out okay.

But, there goes my plan of getting out of debt in two years. That relied on me having both jobs.

More Good News: I'm still going on my vacation, because that's already booked and (mostly) paid for! So, yay! VACATION to kick off underemployment.

"But Alix, how will this affect us?!" you ask? Well... maybe I'll get more fic written...or I'll be able to do my rewatches faster. So, really, from where you're sitting, this is ALL good news. Congrats! :P

Anyway, today sucked... didn't help that I was also suffering from PMS-induced anxiety. I was very very lucky that my local best friend had the day off and I was able to go over to their place at lunch and literally cry on them.

Then I went to an ASL Halloween party dressed as the Winter Soldier, and it was SUPER FUN.

It's been a Rollercoaster of a day, folks!
