Time for my tradition of doing this Fic-Year in Review thing... even though I'm not writing as much as I once was...

My favorite story this year (of my own):

The Case of the Unfortunate Brother: Childhood.

Much like last year, my favourite fic that I wrote this year is in my Merlin-Sherlock fusion verse. I just love playing with the family dynamics of adding a third Holmes brother and how that can shed a whole other light on both Mycroft and Sherlock. It's a lot of fun. Plus, I get to sort of ship Merthur in it, which I love doing.

My best story this year:
Again, personally, I love TCoftheUB: Childhood. That being said, Men of Legend (my SPN/Merlin crossover) has done extremely well with the readers over at AO3.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
I think my long stories were appreciated. I guess some of my April ficlets could have gotten a bit more love. I like a lot of them and think I did a good job.

Most fun story:
I'd say doing the April Ficlets was fun, mainly because I got to switch fandoms and 'verse every day, and I got to play with my original fantasy novel characters a bit too.

Most suspenseful story:
I guess Men of Legend kind of ended on a suspenseful note - will Merlin tell Arthur about magic and change Merlin canon?! (The answer is yes, because I hate Merlin canon.)

Story with single sexiest moment:
The anonymous porn I wrote this year was actually of the creepy-bad-wrong kind, so I wouldn't necessarily say it was sexy. Some people thought it was though, and totally missed how creepy-bad-wrong it was and thought that my morally questionable character was "sweet" - and that was super disturbing. The whole thing was dub-con at best.

So, maybe I'll say that putting Sam and Dean in chain-mail (Sam in SLEEVELESS chain-mail) in Men of Legends was the sexiest thing I wrote.

Story with single sweetest moment:
Sweet? Hmm... I'd probably have to say TCoftheUB: Childhood - the part where Merlin and Sherlock are kids and they're playing the murder game. That was pretty damn cute to write.

Most unintentionally *telling* story:
Probably some of my April ficlets. ZeroCool was a story about Charlie Bradbury that I sort of based around my brother.

"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story:
The anonymous porn... which is why it will stay anonymous.

Fic that shifted my perspective on the characters:
Hmm, none really.

Most disappointing story:
I'm disappointed that I didn't write more. Does that count?

Hardest story to write:
Anything at all? Seriously, I don't know where my writing mojo has gone - or where my mojo in general has gone. I seem to be much slower to produce anything fandom related these days. I need to set myself a schedule or something. I procrastinate too much. Maybe I should ban myself from tumblr except for one hour every day and/or do the same with reading fic.

Easiest story to write:
I'd say they were all pretty easy to write, even though I took much longer with them than I usually do.

This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most:
I am not as productive as I used to be? The fact that I only wrote two major stories and couldn't even get through a whole month of ficlets before quitting probably demonstrates this. Also, I was supposed to finish a Merthur fic by Christmas and it's not even half done, and I maybe write 300 words every two days. It's pathetic. I need to by myself one of those little dictation recorder things, because usually what happens is that I lie in bed at night trying to get to sleep and write whole fics in my head, but then when I'm sitting at the computer the next day with some free time, I'm just like "well, guess I'll read Teen Wolf fanfic"" and nothing ever gets done.
