I love my bank (but I do not love death!films)

I went to the bank this afternoon. It takes me a half an hour to walk there - and today is really sunny and hot (for this time of year), so I was really thrilled when they served me lemonade as I walked in - for Easter! (Ah, Easter, I love the parts of you that have nothing to do with Christianity.)

Then I went up to the teller, and he was a chatty dude, who liked my name, and then we had this conversation:

Him: Any weekend plans?
Me: Well, I'm going to a dinner party type thing tomorrow night, other than that, not really.
Him: Is it a party for Good Friday or...
Me: No, it's because our favourite show is on, and a friend just moved town - so it's like, "welcome to town, let's watch our favourite show!"

Him: Cool. Which show?

Me: Supernatural

Him: Love it! They filmed once near my house. There's this house near me that's perfect for the show - it's really creepy. I mean, I get really creeped out just walking past it. It has these hedges. I don't like hedges. *co-worker laughs as they walk by* No, I'm serious! It feels like something might jump out at you from the hedges!! Anyway, it's this house, and it's dark blue...and it's...um, well it's definitely not a Vancouver Special.*

Me: Haha, no, it wouldn't be. They have to use places that look like they could be in the States, so they wouldn't use Vancouver Specials.

Him: Oh, I never thought of that....how long has that show been on?

Me: This is the 6th season.

Him: Is it still the same two guys?

Me: Yes.

Him: Those guys are really good looking.

Me: Haha, yeah, they really are. It certainly doesn't hurt my enjoyment of the show - them being so good looking.

Him: No, I suppose not. My sister likes the Vampire Dairies. Ian Somerhalder is on that. He's really good. 

Me: And also good looking.

Him: Yeah, again, it doesn't hurt.

 

For the life of me, I couldn't tell if he was gay, or just really secure in his heterosexuality, but either way, I loved him to pieces.

 

There's also a teller there that looks like Zooey Deschanel. 

 

In other news, Benedict Cumberbatch is in a movie called Third Star, and I'm conflicted, because it looks really good (and epically bromancy), but it also appears to be one of those movies where someone dies of cancer...and I have a strict policy against watching death!films...but then, the usual romance death!films don't appeal anyway...but BROMANCE death!films....such a conflict of my interests.

 

*Vancouver Special is a type of house that is found in Vancouver. Personally, I don't think they look very nice - they basically optimize living space at the cost of design.
