Podfic Singing and old typos
Dec. 22nd, 2010 01:00 pmI really like podfics. Mainly, because my job is horribly boring. Most days, I do my job so that I can listen to fic - rather than the other way around, if that makes any sense.
So, naturally, I love the very kind ladies out there who dedicate their time and vocal talents to creating podfics...and if on occasion, I don't quite like their pitch of voice for certain characters or lines, well, I ignore any and all criticism of them, because beggars can't be choosers after-all.
Today though, I was listening to a story where one of the characters starts singing...and um...well, she did her best, but umm...apparently having a good speaking voice does not equal having the ability to carry a tune. Oh man. Poor girl. I still love her for having recorded the fic...but you know, maybe she should pick fics in the future that don't have singing in them. There's no point to telling you this of course...just, I feel like I just survived something, I suppose.
In other news: people have been reading Damned Demented Demons again, since I posted Vile Violent Vacations around. It's nice...but it's caused me to realize that Damned Demented Demons has a lot more typos than Vile Violent Vacations....because apparently my ability to write gets better with practice (who knew!). So, now not only do I need to make a .doc file of Vile Violent Vacations, but I also really want to go back through Damned Demented Demons and fix it up a a bit.
It kind of makes me wish there were two of me.
