Work is kicking my ass
Dec. 2nd, 2010 09:07 pm Oh man guys, work is kicking my ass this week...and next week too by the looks of it.
It's only 9pm and I'm EXHAUSTED. It really sucks, because usually I spend at least part of my evenings writing Vile Violent Vacations, but I haven't got the mental capacity left at the end of the day this week. Thankfully I have the weekend. The frustrating thing is that I really only have one more chapter to write and then the whole thing is finished.
I think tomorrow in order to stay awake for the show - and writing my reaction post after it - I'm going to have to nap as soon as I come home from work. Just, come home at 5pm and then sleep until 7...then walk over to my friend's place. Good plan? I think it's the only plan in town, otherwise I'll fall asleep at the title card.
The good news is that I'm going to go see the Harry Potter movie this Sunday! yay! I had wanted to read the first half of the book before I went, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Thankfully, I have a fairly good memory, and I've read bits and pieces of it over the past year while doing research for VVV, so it's pretty fresh in my mind.
But yeah, next week work is going to absolutely kill me, I think. So, I better get my final goddamn chapter written this weekend if I want to post stress free on Wednesday.
I need a job that pays me to do my hobbies...crochet and writing fanfic and fiction? There's got to be a market for that somewhere...or how about keeping track of people's wardrobes? Someone hook me up with that job please...just as long as I don't have to be up before sunrise to do it.
