January:  Gabe and walked down to the supermarket to get me a frozen pizza tonight. As we waited for the elevator our neighbour Julie's voice could be heard from inside her apartment.

"Bu hui ba!" we heard. Gabe smiled, and translated for me.

February: I know it's been over a week, but I just can't think of anything interesting to say.

March: I like sleeping, man, it's great. Really, one of the only things I'm good at. I like how Gabe believes in things that aren't logical, but not religion.

April: I've been a lot of places in my life. The more places I go to, the more it feels like I've barely been anywhere.

May: I finally made it up the mountain on Thursday. Unfortunately, it was the first cloudy day after a string of sunny days on which I should have gone. My pictures all turned out slightly hazy and monochromatic of course, but in an odd way I think it's fitting.

June: Oh man, I absolutely love this peanuts comic:

July:
Gabe and I were at the grocery store tonight surveying the choices of microwavable lasagnas. Both of us are in a rather dull mood these days, bored out of our skulls and slightly sick of our lives.

August:
Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. Life is pretty boring these days. Things got depressing and I lost the ability to be creative.

September:
Never before has xkcd represented me so well...Anyway, I'm back from New Brunswick. I had a good visit.

October:
I got a new haircut. It's layered. It looks quite snazzy, if I do say so myself. A little less long-haired hippie, a little more young professional....ironically, though, I'm not really either of those things.

November:
Here's the beginning part of a story I wrote last week:

December:
I get horribly sentimental in the evenings.

Sadly...that really does summarize the year. I realized today that it's officially Christmas, which means there's no way I'm hearing anything about my starting date for the job until January.

There's no way I'll be able to do the Finland trip this summer, but possibly neither can Dana. Next year, perhaps. This year my priority is getting back out to New Brunswick before Gabe leaves for China, and somehow getting to Vancouver. When broke, restrict traveling to within your own country (that's the new motto). Of course, next year I really should take advantage of Gabe being in China and Sarah being in Singapore...so, yeah, I'll have to make a ton of money so that I can do Finland AND Asia in one year. I once did Bermuda and Germany within four months of each other, but the wrench in the works is the fact that Finland will cost me an arm and a leg since I'd be visiting a country not a person.

Ah my life....how I love you. I just have to figure out how to make my life WORK.
