Yeah, most every house here has a porch - and if it doesn't have a porch, it'll have a wicked back deck or a balcony. The house I live in has two balconies, a porch, and a back deck...you know, just to go all out. The balconies are ours, the porch&deck are the landlord's.
Back in Ontario, there were more houses with front stoops instead of porches...but out here, you can't throw a stone without hitting someone's porch with it. At least in my neighbourhood anyway. :P
