I AM FINISHED WRITING VILE VIOLENT VACATIONS! \o/

Also, I totally took the day off work to write fanfiction...does this make me a bad decision maker? Should I get my priorities straight? Does it count that I loathe my job? Does this secretly say something about what kind of job I should have?.... What does it mean that the answer to all those questions is probably "yes"?

But, it is finished at 30 chapters, with chapter 30 being an extra 1000+ words. Much like Harry Potter (and perhaps Supernatural?), some of you will not be pleased with the ending - but, it's how I intended to end it the whole time, so I'm happy with it.

There will be timestamps, so don't fret that this is the be all end all of the 'verse. I have one timestamp that I'll probably write in a week or two, which will serve as a sort of epilogue to VVV...and then there's a possibility for more timestamps. So, there will be little things here and there to keep you entertained. As of right now though, I feel like this will be the last multichaptered epic that I'll write for a good long while.

So, now that's it all done, I have to dig up that banner someone made me back in August (must also remind myself who made it), so that I can do the master post...then I suppose I should do a master post for the whole 'verse.

So, if anyone wants to make me a banner for that...that'd be cool, but it's not a necessity.

But, at least it looks like you'll get a final chapter on Wednesday (which might actually go up Tuesday night, depending on my work schedule).

I'm excited. I'm going to go change all those question marks into 30s.

\O/ YAY!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad for you to be done :)

Of course I'm sad that it is over too :( You made Wednesday my favorite day of the week :) and I look forward to the time stamps...and you could always do another story in the verse...I'm just sayin' :)

I'm glad to be done too! \o/

I'm sure I'll be sad it is over in a couple of weeks - right now I'm kind of relieved. Writing 4,000 words a week really takes up a lot of my free time...especially since I try to make them 4,000 GOOD words. ;)

I actually do have the beginnings of another idea in my head - but unfortunately, right now it's not anything I could write, because it'd probably take place in SPN S7 or 8, and since I like to keep things as canon as humanly possible, I'd have to wait for those seasons to air before I started anything. Which is just as well, because right now I don't have a plot, I just have a premise. So, yeah, don't hold your breath on that one. :P

oh congrats! it's always a big "whew" when i'm done writing something, whether it's a short one, or a bit of an epic (like my Supernatural/Firefly crossover; although that's not as long as yours are)....

but yaaaay!

Yes, my stories seem to either be one-shots or they are ridiculously long!

HUGE RELIEF!

Yay! I have to read over it after work today (must actually go into work today), but yeah, right now, I'm pretty happy with it!

Once I get the master post formatted and writing up (perhaps on the weekend), I'll be crossposting it to more communities - so I'm sure people will notice that they no longer have to wait!

Well, not for me. I'm stuck on sad. I only said congrats so as not to come off as a horrible person. :P

Hahaha no really, well done. I'm trying to write my bloody dissertation here and its not going half as well.

LOL! Hahaha, thank you :)

Sorry about the dissertation. I feel the same way about my stupid novel. Maybe you should ask your professors if you can do your dissertation in the form of a Supernatural/Harry Potter crossover :) They could go on an epic adventure and every so often discuss whatever it is you are studying in school.

If you can work out how to make a Supernatural/Harry Potter crossover related to geography then I might take you up on that but as it is I think I'm stuck. And anyway, how would I write a SPN/HP crossover when there's all your awesome flying around?

Date: 2010-12-14 04:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com
Haha, oh gosh, flatterer.

I'm sure you could do it! There is a lot of geography in both shows...I guess it just depends what your thesis is. The final clue of the mystery involves knowing the curvature of glacial lakes or something...you could have Hermione do the research and announce her findings ;)

Hahaha "Glaciatial Landscapes of the Lake District according to Hermione Granger". OH "Gender Inequalities in Hunting by Sam Winchester" Hahahaha.

But alas no. I'm doing water management in British India. And I think no one would really have that much interest in water management and getting Dean on a flight to Delhi would be just too mean.

"Gender Inequalities in Hunting by Sam Winchester" Hahahaha.

DUDE! I would totally read that paper!!

But um...yeah, you're right. I can't think of any excuse for the Winchesters or Team Potter to research water management in British India...and yes, putting the Winchesters in India, while comical, would be very cruel. I'm pretty sure Dean would have bowel trouble with in the first hour, given the type of food he eats :P

Hey! I'm laughing cos I can so totally see Sam writing that paper! Haha, why don't you write that paper? As Sam. That would be so awesome.

Dean with Delhi Belly. Man would he bitch. Also, no pie.

From: [identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com
Sadly, I don't know the first thing about writing a gender studies paper :P Not to mention it'd probably just conclude that Hunting was the same as any other predominately male profession - like construction.

I think the horrible sweetness of some Indian desserts would totally make up for the lack of pie. Plus, I mean, who doesn't like Kheer?

Come to think of it, sending Dean to India would almost guarentee that he dies of heart failure.

Though to be honest, I have to say that the idea of kheer does kind of gross me out. And my flatmates whole family doesn't like it that much and they're all Indian.. though there's that thing... gahhh I can't remember its name but its basically sugar in oil. That is amazing.

Date: 2010-12-14 06:08 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com
Oh man, you and I have opposite taste-buds. Kheer is amazing, and I don't even like rice pudding...whereas the sugar in oil thing basically sends me into a diabetic coma, and not in an enjoyable way :P

But yes, I think we would be wise to keep Dean out of India. ;)

Aww but well made rice pudding is amaaaazing!

Oh Dean! Why must you do this to me? You were all set to save me from my dissertation! And if Sam can't even find anything on this, I am so screwed. *headsdesk*

From: [identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com
Awww...I'm sure if Sam was trying to find stuff he could, after all, the Winchesters have super research powers :P It's amazing how quickly they scan through those archived newspapers. My dissertation involved archived newspaper research and I can tell you - it took a LOT longer :P

Maybe I've never had well made rice-pudding :P And maybe you've never had well made Kheer ;)

Yeah taht one of the thing I've never got about Sam. He just knows man. :P

Oh I've had awesome rice pudding. My next door neighbour makes it brilliantly. And well, kheer to me looks like worms in sauce, so that offputting from the get go. But it also makes me think of trifle and I don't like trifle.

Worms in sauce? Dude...yeah, that's not good kheer (or at least not the kind of kheer I like). Kheer just looks like rice-pudding with different spices in it.

Sam is the Wunderkind of Research. ;)

Well.. I saw it at London Mela so I would expect they knew what they were making. That being said, I was distracted getting my hand henna-d at the time...

I wish I was...

Ahhhh! I'm so excited! also FYI I'm still working on art for this fic, I don't know if I was the original person who agreed to do a banner though. However it's almost done! I'll be a little quicker on working on it.

Haha I'm more of a "read it in one go" kind of girl. ;) I didn't even start reading Harry Potter until after the 7th book came out... which wasn't entirely on purpose but well worth it, I think! :D

Cool! Keep working on it! Let me know how much time you need! I can make it a competition, or I can use multiple banners...or I can have an "art" section...the possibilities are endless!

Hey! I'll probably be done with the art sometime this evening. Sorry for the lateness, I didn't get as much time to work on it as I thought I was.
