I AM FINISHED WRITING VILE VIOLENT VACATIONS! \o/
Also, I totally took the day off work to write fanfiction...does this make me a bad decision maker? Should I get my priorities straight? Does it count that I loathe my job? Does this secretly say something about what kind of job I should have?.... What does it mean that the answer to all those questions is probably "yes"?
But, it is finished at 30 chapters, with chapter 30 being an extra 1000+ words. Much like Harry Potter (and perhaps Supernatural?), some of you will not be pleased with the ending - but, it's how I intended to end it the whole time, so I'm happy with it.
There will be timestamps, so don't fret that this is the be all end all of the 'verse. I have one timestamp that I'll probably write in a week or two, which will serve as a sort of epilogue to VVV...and then there's a possibility for more timestamps. So, there will be little things here and there to keep you entertained. As of right now though, I feel like this will be the last multichaptered epic that I'll write for a good long while.
So, now that's it all done, I have to dig up that banner someone made me back in August (must also remind myself who made it), so that I can do the master post...then I suppose I should do a master post for the whole 'verse.
So, if anyone wants to make me a banner for that...that'd be cool, but it's not a necessity.
But, at least it looks like you'll get a final chapter on Wednesday (which might actually go up Tuesday night, depending on my work schedule).
I'm excited. I'm going to go change all those question marks into 30s.

Date: 2010-12-14 06:44 am (UTC)Of course I'm sad that it is over too :( You made Wednesday my favorite day of the week :) and I look forward to the time stamps...and you could always do another story in the verse...I'm just sayin' :)

Date: 2010-12-14 06:53 am (UTC)I'm sure I'll be sad it is over in a couple of weeks - right now I'm kind of relieved. Writing 4,000 words a week really takes up a lot of my free time...especially since I try to make them 4,000 GOOD words. ;)
I actually do have the beginnings of another idea in my head - but unfortunately, right now it's not anything I could write, because it'd probably take place in SPN S7 or 8, and since I like to keep things as canon as humanly possible, I'd have to wait for those seasons to air before I started anything. Which is just as well, because right now I don't have a plot, I just have a premise. So, yeah, don't hold your breath on that one. :P

Date: 2010-12-14 03:52 pm (UTC)Hahaha no really, well done. I'm trying to write my bloody dissertation here and its not going half as well.

Date: 2010-12-14 03:55 pm (UTC)LOL! Hahaha, thank you :)
Sorry about the dissertation. I feel the same way about my stupid novel. Maybe you should ask your professors if you can do your dissertation in the form of a Supernatural/Harry Potter crossover :) They could go on an epic adventure and every so often discuss whatever it is you are studying in school.

Date: 2010-12-14 04:07 pm (UTC)I'm sure you could do it! There is a lot of geography in both shows...I guess it just depends what your thesis is. The final clue of the mystery involves knowing the curvature of glacial lakes or something...you could have Hermione do the research and announce her findings ;)

Date: 2010-12-14 04:12 pm (UTC)But alas no. I'm doing water management in British India. And I think no one would really have that much interest in water management and getting Dean on a flight to Delhi would be just too mean.

Date: 2010-12-14 05:11 pm (UTC)DUDE! I would totally read that paper!!
But um...yeah, you're right. I can't think of any excuse for the Winchesters or Team Potter to research water management in British India...and yes, putting the Winchesters in India, while comical, would be very cruel. I'm pretty sure Dean would have bowel trouble with in the first hour, given the type of food he eats :P

Date: 2010-12-14 05:25 pm (UTC)Dean with Delhi Belly. Man would he bitch. Also, no pie.

Date: 2010-12-14 05:48 pm (UTC)I think the horrible sweetness of some Indian desserts would totally make up for the lack of pie. Plus, I mean, who doesn't like Kheer?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-14 05:59 pm (UTC)Though to be honest, I have to say that the idea of kheer does kind of gross me out. And my flatmates whole family doesn't like it that much and they're all Indian.. though there's that thing... gahhh I can't remember its name but its basically sugar in oil. That is amazing.

Date: 2010-12-14 06:08 pm (UTC)But yes, I think we would be wise to keep Dean out of India. ;)

Date: 2010-12-14 06:16 pm (UTC)Oh Dean! Why must you do this to me? You were all set to save me from my dissertation! And if Sam can't even find anything on this, I am so screwed. *headsdesk*

Date: 2010-12-14 06:21 pm (UTC)Maybe I've never had well made rice-pudding :P And maybe you've never had well made Kheer ;)

Date: 2010-12-14 06:29 pm (UTC)Oh I've had awesome rice pudding. My next door neighbour makes it brilliantly. And well, kheer to me looks like worms in sauce, so that offputting from the get go. But it also makes me think of trifle and I don't like trifle.
