Yeah, you're right. For THAT movie, the brother was well-developed enough. I mean, a few years back I would have thought 'what a douche' and be done with him. But that night on the train, in the rain, after the mom died? Or that time when he saved his brother from that creep?
I think I get him and his twisted jealousy. He loved his brother, took as good care of him as he could, though he might despise that his brother got things he didn't: a girl, an autograph... but he also feared to lose him and the girl was going to get his bro, no matter what.
At least, that's what I figured. (I MIGHT have seen some parallels to a certain brother of a certain show, so I might have developed too much sympathy for him). He WAS a douche, no two ways about it.

And that ending was a good way to let him go. Fitting, though sad.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love "Die Hard". It's sort of tradition to watch it on Christmas around here, and I always do. What I meant was that I don't try to analyze the stereotype-bad-guys, who mostly are German anyway - which is of course reason enough to be evil. After all, it rains a lot here, and most speak terrible English :-D

Dunno if it were always the evil songs in Disney. But it sure is that way for "Lion King". "Be Prepared" is awesome!
