yes, Cas will show up - and stick around a little longer than he did in DDD. A couple of things have to happen first though, so don't expect him for a while.
You also have to wait a couple of chapters for Hogwarts (but not as long as you have to wait for Cas).
If Peeves it at all intelligent, he'll stay the hell away from the Winchesters ;)
