I've always been fascinated by the aftermath of things...I study history, and I'm always drawn to the period of time directly after a catastrophic/major event - how people go forward afterward (I think that's the ultimate judge of character, whether of a person or a nation. It's also in those moments of immediate reaction where the future takes shape.) So, yeah, for me, the books ending where they did, there was such a WEALTH of stuff I wanted to know that was never answered - I appreciate her wanting to leave it vague with the epilogue she used, but at the same time, I craved much more, because, to me, it was just getting interesting.
