I had a horrible night Saturday night, one of those nights where all of a sudden everything you've been bottling up since before Christmas comes crashing down on your head and you end up writing a very long email to your girlfriend whilst crying onto the keyboard. The good news is that I feel better now. The retrospective news is that rewatching Supernatural and making an elaborate timeline is a very good way to ignore personal emotional stress.

Basically, I REALLY need my vacation coming up. So much so, that I don't even mind that I'll be missing the show. Plus, it means that come March, I'll be able to have a mini-marathon with my little sister, who is the funnest person to watch Supernatural with.

On another note: Anyone notice that Sam's not wearing his bracelet all the time anymore? I keep forgetting to confirm it when I watch the show, but he doesn't have it on in quite a number of the promotional pics and I think there are a few official episode pictures where he's not wearing it either. Sort of odd - maybe just a continuity thing. (Yes, I am still obsessed with accessories).

I wanted to write another fic before I left, but after my huge emotional trauma, and with only 2 days left before I go, I don't think it's going to happen.

You know what I would love to do though? A pre-series wee!chester fic told from an Outsider POV! Man, I LOVE reading those, but I don't know if I have it in me to actually write one. Who knows though, maybe I'll get some ideas in China.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant time over the weekend. *hugs* I'm glad that you feel better, though!

I find that traveling is very productive for writing. Perhaps it's because so much time is spent waiting around (on cars, trains, buses, planes, in airports, train stations, etc.) that my mind has time to wander. The difficult part is getting it all written down so I can remember my ideas later! So make sure you bring a journal or something that you can jot stuff down in.

I hadn't noticed the bracelet thing, actually. Maybe it signifies how the boys' relationship is fracturing.

Thanks! I am hoping to bring my journal along. I don't have room to bring a book or anything, so writing will really be my only form of "entertainment" if I'm stuck waiting somewhere without a friend to keep me company.

The bracelet thing makes me a little sad. I like my boys happy and in brotherly-love...though, I must admit, having them fracture makes for compelling TV.

Really? No room for a book? Eep! I like to bring my laptop with me everywhere I go. I keep small notepads on hand if I'm going to be away from it for any length of time (for note taking) but at the end of the day, I usually get on the laptop and type up whatever I've jotted down.

I'm probably unhealthily addicted to computering, but I'd cry if I didn't have my laptop for even a day.

I can't wait to see how this season unfolds!

I'd love to bring my laptop, but I'm taking a six week trip with only a purse and a carry-on sized backpack - cuts have to be made! (Plus my laptop weighs 10 pounds on it's own and the battery is half-dead - I really need a new one).

But I will be staying with friends who have computers, so I'll be able to write emails to myself about anything important that I want to note.

Wow, that is seriously minimalist! Why aren't you bringing some checked luggage? Too much hassle?

Yes, it's pretty much to avoid the hassle of checked-bags. I know from experience how much waiting-time checked bags can add to travels. As well as the fact that I'm taking so many flights during this trip, that I'd be constantly worried about having my bags lost. Then there's traveling around without flights too - just easier to have all my stuff easily portable and lightweight.

This will be the longest I've gone with just a small backpack, but I have done it before for a 2 week period in Europe. The nice thing about this trip is that I'll be staying with friends who have laundry machines, so really I can get away with just a weeks worth of clothes.

Actually, I would love to do that, just simplify my life down to a bag that I can carry around easily. It would be an awesome way to just take a break, get away from all the STUFF in your life. Make a clean getaway!

I'm all jealous now! You're going to have an awesome time! :)

Exactly exactly! I am in desperate need of a break! And stripping myself down to one backpack and getting away from it all is so appealing that I don't even care that I'm missing SPN! (SHOCKING! But a strong indicator that I REALLY need a break from my life).

I will tell you all about it when I get back :-)
