To your excellent reviews, and focusing only on the Christmas one, I'd like to add my standard "Oh, and did you notice" comment about the heart-rending final scene. I think it's sweet that Dean's gifts to Sam (the skin mags and shaving cream) are his way of telling Sam he thinks he's a "real man." Similarly, Sam's gifts -- the motor oil and the candy bar -- are gifts of nurturance that say "I want you to keep functioning, to stay alive." Since they believe this to be their last Christmas together, that's especially poignant.
I also love the cheesy wallpaper/mural, that looks exactly like a Hallmark Christmas card.
