hells_half_acreDay 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving
Just about every show I've ever loved....I never think I'm going to like anything.
Most notably though:
Avatar: The Last Airbender - My best friend recommended it to me when it was airing it's second season (Earth chapter), and I put off watching it for 6 months or a year, because dude, that title sounds SO LAME! And it was a cartoon - and I just pictured cheesy cheese lameness. Then I watched it - and I believe this took place:
Friend: "So, will you ever doubt me again?"
Me: "No, I will not."
And, um...
Supernatural - *cringes for incoming blows*
My sister came for a visit in the summer of 2008, and we had this conversation:
Sue: "Have you ever seen Supernatural?"
Me: "Never even heard of it."
Sue: "I think you'd like it. It's your kind of show."
Me: "What's it about?"
Sue: "These two brothers that travel around America and fight ghosts and demons and monsters."
Me: *raises a skeptical eyebrow and thinks that it sounds really lame*
Sue: "Just give it a try...it'd give us something to do together this summer anyway. We can download the episodes and watch one or two every day. It'll be fun."
Me: "Alright, I suppose" *still thinks it sounds lame, but realizes that it'd be good to have something Sue and I could do together*
And, yeah...the rest, as they say, is history.
For the record, I believe I also told Sue that I would never doubt her again.
