RIP Elisabeth Sladen

Wow, a "celebrity" death that I actually care about. Very sad to hear that Elisabeth Sladen has passed away at only 63, due to cancer.

I know this is primarily a Supernatural blog, but I'm also a Doctor Who fan - and I really loved Sarah Jane when we were reintroduced to her in the new series. I even watched the Sarah Jane Adventures when I was unemployed and depressed in Montreal back in 2007, because nothing quite cheers you up like a show targeted towards children (that still has epic bromance in it).

I'm just glad I heard about it now, instead of months later, as is prone to happen to me. Still, I'm sad about it.

This is so sad! She was pretty much my first companion when I started watching the show. The Tom Baker years were airing on PBS, and I loved her. When she showed up in "School Reunion" I was so happy. She was great.

I agree. And shocking, because I didn't even know she was ill and she certainly looked young and healthy.
