Hello Dreamwidth People
First order of business: If you are my friend on LJ and want to be my friend on DW, but have a different username...could you tell me who you are?
Secondly: Does reverse crossposting work? I'm trying to figure out how to keep both DW and LJ simultaneously up-to-date, but I want to post on LJ because that's where all my wonderful icons are. (On DW, I just have a random selection). So...can I post on LJ and have it post automatically on DW? Or will I just have to remember to import my LJ entries once a week or something?
Any help would be appreciated...I am trying to write a novel and move house and work for a living...

I suppose I could post on DW, but then I'd have to come back to LJ and pick the icon that I actually want...and the mood-theme picture that I actually want...and b'ah, hassle.

I'll probably do it once a week/month/when-I-remember. I just really want DW as a backup - in case LJ decides tomorrow that it won't support people with extensive clothing catalogues or other doomsday scenarios. :)

I'm definitely not going to pay for two journal accounts at once - so things at DW are going to look pretty basic. And if I ever do switch over, then things around here will suddenly look very basic. But, from what I read over at DW, it sounds like LJ has more features for paid accounts...so, that's slightly more incentive to stick around here. I don't blame LJ for the site-downtime...I only blame them for feature/policy changes that I don't like.

But yeah, it's a lot of work for me to move completely over to DW, so I'll stick around here for a while longer.

It seems like DW should have a way to import friends too...but I guess that there might be different people with the same name on the two sites...

I think DW does have a way to search for similar names on DW as your LJ flist (or importing your LJ flist - but since my LJ flist is on LJ, I'm not overly concerned at the moment. If I ever moved to DW completely, I might do it then.
Does that make any sense? :P
