Reading is fun!

So, I don't know about you, but often times when I'm reading quickly my mind will place words from the sentence below into the sentence that I'm reading, and everything will get a bit jumbled. Usually, it just makes for a confusing sentence, but occasionally, it causes me to do doubletakes and burst out laughing...

For instance, this evening on Yahoo! Canada there are two headlines:
  • Runaway bear back behind bars after mountain ramble
  • Scarlet Johansson splits from Canadian husband: reports

So, naturally, what I read is "Scarlet Johansson bear back behind bars after mountain ramble."

And I don't think about bars as in prison bars, no...I think about bars as in pubs...and I have a brief thought of "what the heck is Scarlet doing hanging out behind pubs and rambling around the mountains?"

My version was much more scandalous, I thought.

Haha, I know I know...but I'm trying not to get my hopes up ;)

Completely unrelated: If the novel I can't seem to finish writing is ever turned into a movie, I totally have a part for Ryan in it. I've had him cast in the part since he was on Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place. :P
