MONTHS ago, I solicited prompts, because I was going to spend Canadian Thankgiving writing... but then I only actually wrote two of the prompts.

So, today I got really bored and decided that I wanted to write another one. I took a look at the list and decided to fill madebyme_x prompt, which was:

A quiet day in the bunker doing chores (who does the washing up? Does the bunker have a laundry room? Do they hang their clothes outside to dry? Do they have an old vacuum cleaner or any other vintage cleaning products? How many bathrooms need cleaning? Do the boys have a chore rota?)

And this is mainly just a small love-letter to chores you enjoy and the old wringer washer that lived in the basement of my cottage...

It will be the last major multi-chapter fic for the demented'verse. I MAY write some short one-shots in the future, depending (I've got one small idea right now, but don't yet know if it's viable.) But, as it stands, I consider this the end of the demented'verse saga. I knew it's days were numbered once I started to take it canon-divergent AU in S9, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and I hope you are too!

I'm not QUITE finished writing it yet (I just have one more chapter left to write, and a couple things to shuffle around. But the first 8 chapters are solid, so that gives me enough of a buffer to start posting a chapter once per week until I'm done. :)

April Ficlet: Immortality in Practice (Merlin)

Hello! Okay, not as grouchy as I was yesterday, yay! I like what I wrote today. It's another post-finale Merlin fic, because for some reason, although I still hate S5, I have very specific thoughts about what comes after it.

Also, I saw an adorable dutch movie today called Dolfje Weerwolfje - it's a kid's movie about a 7 year-old who discovers he's a werewolf. And it is ADORABLE. I recommend it... you know, if any of you have dutch speaking kids, or kids that can read subtitles quickly.... or, if you're like me and you just really love werewolves, and adorable stories about acceptance, and brotherly love and whatnot. It's English title is "Alfie, the LIttle Werewolf" but I really don't like that translation, mostly because his name isn't frickin' Alfie, it's Dolfje.

Anyway...

Took way too long with this one today - I should not have chosen such an ambitious scene to write. After brainstorming for a half-an-hour though, it was the only thing I could come up with. Then I took two hours to write it. So yeah.... not entirely happy with it, but I really can't afford to spend more time on it and I have to post something today... so, here we go...

April Ficlet: ZeroCool (Supernatural)

It's still Sunday where I am!

I took about 40 minutes writing this thing, because I wrote a whole bunch - then went and fact-checked on the SuperWiki and realized that what I had didn't fit with canon. Sigh.

Anyway, here's some Charlie backstory for you - based shamelessly on my brother (and a little bit of myself) in High School. Title shamelessly stolen from the movie Hackers, which does not accurately portray hackers or hacking in any way, shape, or form.

And yes, I realize Charlie's name probably wasn't Charlie when she was in high school, but we don't know what her name WAS. Also, I just realized that I maybe could have kept what I originally wrote, because we don't know if Charlie ACTUALLY dropped out of high school or if that was just the story for the Charlie Bradbury alias. Ah well, no going back now.
