So, in my spare time (what spare time?) I've been working on a time-consuming, most-likely-pointless, very fun Supernatural project. Similar to when I decided to make my timeline, it means that I have to watch the episodes again from the beginning - this time however, instead of just making notes, I get to make screencaps as well.

Sometimes I happen to hit pause at just the right time, and catch hilarious pictures. So, I thought I would share my two favorites from what I've done this past week:




Sam was just liking his lips, but press pause at the right moment, and it looks like he's intensely waiting to stick his tongue out at Dean.

And man...Jared was so LITTLE and skinny. It's astonishing. Jensen was little too, mind you...but you really notice it on Jared.

Yes, he's definitely filled out (and out and out and out. Did you see him bursting out of that fast food uniform? I thought the seams were gonna rip for sure.)

What strikes me most about earlier episodes actually is Dean's lighter voice. I swear gotten huskier every season, to an absurd degree (I watched 4x01 recently, and it seemed lighter than this season, and I remember at the time thinking it was already very hoarse sounding.) I want to hand that boy a cough drop. It must be a pain to keep that up.

Yeah, I've read some things about the voice, though it's all been second hand - that it was a conscious decision in the 2nd or 3rd season to start pitching it lower - how him and Misha have contests to see which one of them can speak the lowest - I don't know if these things are true though. I've never heard Jensen himself talk about the voice.

It's funny though, because in the little clip they have out of him doing voice-work for the Red Hood in the next animated Batman film, he seems to be using his regular voice...you'd think THAT would be a good opportunity to use a ridiculously low voice.

My sympathies go out to all the seams that are doing their best to hold garments on Jared. Occasionally I see comments from people complaining about Sam/Jared constantly wearing V-neck t-shirts...I wonder if it has occurred to anyone that with a neck like that, crew neck Ts just might be a little too restricting.
