ETA: And then I read that you didn't find the Tinas all that similar :)
Actually, I'd like to ETA as well: This is what happens when you only watch the episode once. For some reason, I had it in my head that older Tina had a much stronger jaw, than young!Tina... but I just remembered wrong. I apparently replaced older!Tina's actress in my head with Darrell Hannah at some point. So, the Tina's actually really were well matched and young!Tina did a great job.
Go Adam Glass! (I need to check if I found any of his other episodes interesting, too.)
I usually enjoy Adam Glass' episodes. He did Bad Boys last year and Mother's Little Helper. (He also did Sharp Teeth, which I can't make up my mind about.) In my list of current favourite SPN writers, Robbie Thompson takes the top spot, but Adam Glass comes in a close second. (Bobby Berens and The Carver are probably duking it out for third).
My only beef with that monologue about the joys of puberty was that Dean said he had 'like 9 zits', but there weren't any. Which... thank god, but I was so jealous!!! :) It's like size 0 girls complaining "OMG, I'm so fat!"
Well, to be fair, he never said they were on his face. :P (Okay, he MAY have gestured to his face, I can't recall... but maybe they were those really annoying "underground" zits that are hard to see but hurt when you touch them and just make the skin slightly red until they eventually burst through the surface and become the ugliest zits ever.) But yeah, as a teenager, most of my zits were on my back and chest... I'd maybe only get one or two on my face in a month... so my friends would be like "you're so lucky!" and I'd be like "my torso looks like a war zone. I'm not wearing these high-collared shirts as a fashion statement."
