Dean tells Jody that "from personal experience, it'll be a rough few days." And I LOVE the fact that they referenced that one time Dean was a vampire. I just think it's a neat aspect to his character experience, because although Sam's the one that was always afraid of being a monster, Dean actually HAS been a monster

I liked that this was brought up as well and it is pretty cool that Dean actually has been a monster, especially when show has stressed for so many years that he had to remain human. :P It's just cool that he's had that experience, so he can sort of relate to other vamps when it's called for. It is a shame they never brought that into play in S8. They should have brought the Alpha Vamp back then and involved Benny....*sigh*

I'm not very interested in the spinoff, but of course the boys are in next week's pilot so I'll definitely watch that. But I'm afraid the premise and the characters just feel like another version of The Originals....which I'm also not interested in, despite liking some of the characters from their time on TVD. So while I'd like the spinoff to do well, I'm not holding out much hope for it. To me SPN is about Sam & Dean and their adventures. I think it would've been better if the spinoff had involved characters we already know - like The Ghostfacers, or some MOL background, or your idea of Jody and Alex. I really hoped they would've used the hunter kids from S8's "Freaks And Geeks" with Krissy leading them.
