I totally thought Mary was going to be fridged too, since that's what ACD did. I'm super happy that she wasn't and was instead made into a secret BAMF... which, now totally explains why she was able to stay on the back of that bike in 3.1 when Sherlock was driving it down stairs and whatnot.
Anyway, I'm now nervous about her being fridged in S4, because I'm still convinced it's eventually going to happen.
