That actually makes a lot of sense. They don't make it very clear on Show... but I've read other fiction, like witches might charge objects with power that they can use later -- useful if you want to throw bolts of lightning. I guess I just wonder where, in terms of the SPN universe, the power comes from when they throw Sam and Dean against the wall. Hexbags I get -- gestures less so. :)
