Absolutely brilliantly done. You put the characters together so bloody perfect. The way that Sherlock and Merlin grew into different people, how Mycroft was influencing the whole family, and how Sherlock was always affecting Merlin's life choices, it was just, totoally beautiful and makes every sense.
And the word tricks in there, well done. There were a few lines I especially loved: 【Sherlock was only ever honest. Everyone hated Sherlock... Merlin learned how to lie. Everyone loved Merlin.】 The contrast. Oh my.
And this: 【-May I meet this John of yours someday? -Over my dead body. “Show-off,” Merlin said to the empty room.】 I just...;_; You feel my pain?!
Also, I loved the bit where Merlin was cuddling Sherlock in 221B Baker Street after they 'banished' Mycroft from there. Adorable brothers, I could picture them like that with no effort whatsoever ;)
Another wonderful detail: 【“You’re going to start a killing spree for my amusement?” Sherlock raised his eyebrows, smiling. “Now that would be interesting...”】 It was as if they're in this little world of theirs where no outsiders could intrude, cause no one else could understand them better then themselves, and they're all that each other have, in a sense.
It would be really interesting if Merlin did start a killing spree for Sherlock's amusement though xD
Anyway, beautiful writing, loved it! Would you be writing more stuff in this universe, please? ;)
