I think I'm the only one who liked what they did with the Mother of All. :P

Oh, no, I liked it as well. It was just a bit ... unsatisfying, with the whole HUGE-thread built-up they had and then it was "just" a simple-to-kill monster. I liked, though, how they DID set it up. That there is a thing that birthed all creatures not-human. That was a good arc. Just... well, the end was a bit anti-climatic.

True, there are a bunch of story lines that they could be picking up...but nope.

Yeah, well, I'm still hoping they get around to that one day. It's not that they have to abandon that storyline completely. But since those monsters were really very very hard to kill, it's possible that they just haven't (they being the writers) figured out what to do with them. Also, a lot of them were killed by Cas, if I recall correctly? Maybe the others got a lot more careful now.
