Well, I suppose they COULD go to heaven. It's just that Dean didn't much like it. Dean's heaven is him and Sam on the road, saving people and hunting things (for all he angsts about it). So, really, them doing that for all eternity WOULD be Dean's heaven...and I think Sam's heaven is wherever Dean is.

And yes, basically I want that fic to become canon. :)
