All I really remember about Kat was that she was more BAMF than her boyfreind, who as West on Heroes. It's been ages since I watched S1.

She was a lesbian without being the token gay character - and she was a nerd without being a stereotype
Yup. Thats just it. And because of those two very very simple things, she seemed like a real person you could meet on the street. She was a completely 3D character.

What is Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog? Other than a Joss Whedon thing with Neil Patrick Harris in it.

I think the Leviathans thing... well I dunno. Me and a friend were talking about this last time I saw her. And we were talking about how the "weapons stolen from Heaven" storyline from S6 could have been THE MOST AWESOME storyline. Because that's just been left hanging, and the whole "war in Heaven" thing has just been pushed to the side. And in my mind, that's a plotline-on-a-plate right there. And they could have used pre-available characters (Cas, Balthazar, Rachel, Raphael etc) and a pre-existing mythology. Cos come on, the Bible and Apocryphal Gospels and Islam and Judaism have so much folklore surrounding them. I just... really think they missed a trick there. I'm sure they could have easily worked in a someone-brings-Sam-back storyline into that. ANYWAY.
