It's the Gates of Hell! They are in Turkmenistan, apparently.

There is a similar thing in Germany, and the US (Pennsylvania), but they are not as picturesque. The one in Germany has been burning since 1688 though! That's impressive. And the fire in Pennsylvania has it's own ghost-town, because everyone had to move.
