Sam's Red and Grey Shirt

Sam's Red and Grey Shirt

Sam has a blue shirt just like this that is introduced in S4. This shirt is red and grey striped, with diamond shaped snaps. The breast pockets have double pointed flaps that do up with two snaps each.

APPEARANCES:

In A Very Supernatural Christmas (3x08), Sam wears it from their first meeting with the Carrigans through to killing them.

In It’s The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester (4x07), Sam wears it when studying the contents of the hex bag, and when reading about Samhain in the motel room.

In The Monster At The End Of This Book (4x18), Sam wears it to Chuck’s house after Chuck has his vision about Lilith’s visit. He keeps it on for the rest of the episode.

In Good God Y’all (5x02), Sam wears it when they are visiting Bobby in the hospital.

In I Believe The Children Are Our Future (5x06), Sam wears it when he and Dean test the joy-buzzer on the ham, and then visit to the joke shop.

In Mannequin 3: The Reckoning (6x14), Sam wears this shirt when he goes to investigate the scene after the sex-doll kills the guy Sam thought he had saved the night before. He keeps it on until the ghost is truly dispatched.

In ...And Then There Were None (6x16), Sam wears this shirt at the beginning of the episode at Bobby’s, and also when they go to the cannery at night to hunt the monster.

Yes, I'm just waiting on the DVDs, because I need to take caps when I do it (I like to take my own caps, not use other people's)...and I want the caps to be logo-free. So, yeah, just waiting on getting my DVDs in the mail. *twiddles thumbs, looks at mailbox*

I'll be waiting for that eagerly. Have I mentioned how awesome you are for doing all this?

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, thank you...and here I thought I was just being odd, but really I was being awesome! :)

[identity profile] mekina.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You were definitely being awesome. :D How did you have the patience to cap all the pictures and everything?

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
*shrug* I just rewatched the entire series and made a cap whenever I thought the outfit they were wearing (or a detail of it) was most visible. It took me a while, but it's not really a hardship to watch the show. I think it helped that I didn't really announce the project anywhere until I was done all 5 seasons - so, no one really could see how slow it was going. The most time consuming part was cross-referencing episode caps to make sure that a shirt was different/the same...which is why I don't claim to be perfect. It's VERY hard (especially with Dean) to tell some shirts apart.

I know what you mean. I just assumed all of Dean's green shirts were the same, because they look so much alike.

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I actually had to go back and split up an entry or two on Dean when I got to a later season and realized that two of his shirts weren't actually the same shirt. THAT was annoying and time-consuming. I prefer to get it right the first time. :P

I'm pretty sure he finds a shirt he likes and just buys every one of every color available.

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
He does, especially if it's a Carhardtt shirt. :P

[identity profile] mekina.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that an actual brand? Are most of his shirts that brand?

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's the ones with the little brown label on the pocket. Same brand as Sam's Superhero Hoodie. The mystery was solved one day when my sister's boyfriend showed up wearing one. :P

Showed up wearing a Dean shirt or Sam's jacket? Either way, that's awesome. I want Sam's Superhero Hoodie. It's so awesome.

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
A Dean shirt (though a short-sleeved version.) And yeah, it was pretty awesome. I think I caught him off guard, because I saw him and said, "where did you get that shirt?!" hahaha...

You can actually buy a Sam's Superhero Hoodie (for women) in the right colour (they stopped making the colour for men). You can buy it directly from Carhardtt online. My only warning is that those things are HUGE, so get a size smaller than the size you think you need. Also, do not expect it to be flattering - expect it to be very warm. I bought one, but ended up returning it because it was too big.

[identity profile] mekina.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I would wear it even if it was too big. I purposely buy my clothes a size too big because I like baggy things. (I'm weird like that.) But I am sure they don't ship to where I live, so...yeah. *sigh*

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww...yeah, I don't know what their international shipping policies are. :(

But um, I don't know how cold it gets where you live, so maybe it'd be a big thing that you never even have a reason to wear? In Vancouver, it's REALLY handy to have, because they are waterproof and extremely warm.

[identity profile] mekina.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Nobody ships ANYTHING to where I live. It sucks.

It's really hot in the day, but it can get pretty cold at night. Even if I didn't wear it I'd still want one. Just because.

[identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, maybe you can make a deal with a friend someplace else, where you buy it and ship it to them and then they ship it to you? *shrug*

[identity profile] mekina.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really know anybody outside of where I live well enough to ask them that. Ah well. I won't die.
