Yeah, it seems SuperWiki also forgot about that one guy - because they are saying the same thing about them never killing witches. Still, you don't know how powerful a witch he was. I think it would have been quite easy for Sam and Dean to kill Gary and his friends - but they didn't because they had learned their lesson, or something, and the only person they had really tried to kill was Dean - and even then they did a poor job of it.
