Fandom is a very strange place, sometimes. There are a lot of...taboos that get broken down, and eventually, I think people forget there were lines there in the first place. It's a very strange place to be, where saying that a character being raped is something you dislike becomes kind of a radical statement, and you have to worry about possibly giving offense.
