Happy 28th Birthday Sammy!

May 2nd, 2011, is Sam's 28th Birthday!

Last year, I posted an On This Day In Supernatural History - Birthday Edition post. 

I figured for this year, I'd update it! 

Of course, as anyone reading my journal knows, the timeline on the show has gotten a bit messed up. So, for clarity sake, I'm going to post the years as they SHOULD be - which is, sadly, not necessarily what they are in show.

2010 - We never find out when Swan Song takes place, but by my calculations, it was probably very close to Sam's 27th birthday. Perhaps Sam and Dean had one last chance to celebrate before Sam sacrificed himself. Perhaps it was already too late by the time Sam's birthday rolled around, and Dean raised a glass to his brother all alone in Cicero, Indiana....or perhaps the day got lost in the swirl of planning, and demon killing, and final goodbyes.

 

2011 - Similarly, we don't know when Dean discovered Sam's return. But in 2011, it's safe to say that Sam's body was topside, hunting with Samuel and perhaps seeing Dean for the first time in a long year. Meanwhile, Sam's soul was still suffering. (28th birthday)

 

2012 - A fully restored Sam and Dean celebrate Sam's birthday with Bobby in South Dakota after the events of My Heart Will Go On. (29th birthday).

And of course, no Sam's Birthday post would be complete without a screencap of our favourite second oldest Winchester:

Yay! I'm glad you like the screencap! Ever since I realized how goodlooking JP is in real life, I've tried to find screencaps that at least PARTIALLY capture that. It is amazingly hard to do, that poor boy is the most unphotogenic Adonis that I have ever seen.

He really is unphotogenic, poor thing. And I've never seen him in RL so I can't vouch for the good looking in person thing... but I'm with you on him being unphotogenic for some reason. He isn't hot for me here and he doesn't make my heart race faster or anything like that, but this is the first picture that I've seen of him in FOREVER, maybe ever, where I can see why people are attracted to him and he's such a CUTIE here. What season is this? I'm assuming S6, but he looks ridiculously YOUNG for some reason....

S3, so that's why he looks young ;) There's been some nice shots of him in S6 too, but they've been non-smiley, and I think he looks best when he's smiley.

I thought the motel wallpaper and his shirt looked familiar! I just couldn't place when/where. And he totally is way better looking when he's all smiley and he's all young. Also? I think S3 was the best Sam-haircut season ever. I miss his S3 hair... he just needed to wash it more...

I think they didn't attack his hair with a straightening iron as much in S3. They really got into that in S4, which always makes me laugh, because I hardly see the big badass hunter Sam Winchester using a straightening iron every morning :P

THAT'S IT!!!! I knew there was something bugging me about Sam's hair S4 and S5... I liked it S1-S3 when it was all curly. And for some bizarre reason, in S2, it's ridiculously greasy-looking. S3 is my personal favorite for Sam!Hair -- it's curly and CLEAN and sorta longer but he still trimmed his sideburns (there is something seriously wrong when a guy's sideburns on TV looks longer than the longest part of my hair...) IDEK! I just like S3 Sam!Hair by far the best. Although I do miss the S1 bangs even though they got a bit erratic.

I actually like the sideburns, but I guess I'm just weird that way. :P

But yeah, I like Sam's hair when it's all curly and natural looking, rather than overly straightened - it makes him more adorable.

S1 bangs were cute when he was young, but I don't think they would suit him now.

Sideburns just weird me out. But then again I'm weird.... :P

Agreed on the Sam's hair being curly and natural -- it really does make JP that much more cute.... and agreed on the S1 bangs. They wouldn't suit him now but I don't like how long his hair got in S5 either. I like S3 the best -- the bangs were longer so it suited his age but at the same time his hair wasn't longer than mine either...
