I'll be interested to hear what you think once you've seen the movie (normally I wouldn't have good so early - I wait til the crowds die down, but I was catching up with a friend and it was the movie that appealed most to both of us!).

I thought the first scene was the best - all three Malfoys looked extremely uncomfortable (such a change for the slick confident Lucius especially).

I'm trying to remember exactly when Harry disarms Draco and I think that although it was fast, that whole section was full of action and fast paced because of everything happening with Harry and co's escape.

Earlier, when Bellatrix is asking Draco to identify Harry, I thought they did it well - intense close-up face to face staring at each other for several seconds, during which you know Draco knows it's Harry.

I don't think it's you being picky though - I understand! I really didn't like in the 6th movie how in the bathroom scene Draco never attempted to crucio Harry. One simple word. I know they change things to translate the book to the movie, but it was one (almost, since he starts but doesn't finish the spell) word. I mean they were firing spells back and forth, it wouldn't have been hard! I felt it just made Harry much less sympathetic when he used of the sectumsempra.

And I agree re Draco's development in the final book. The fact that Harry witnessed part of what Draco went through with the visions and empathised with him, is part of the reason why I think they actually had the potential to develop some kind of tentative friendship post-war. But maybe that's me wanting Draco to grow beyond the bratty spoilt bully that he was in the first 5 books and get a second chance in life.
