And I do agree that I prefer Dean/Castiel fics that don't take themselves too serious. It's odd, but spn is one of the fandoms where I far prefer gen fic over slash. (oddly enough Merlin is another one of those, yet almost all the fanfic in that fandom is slash*pouts*)
