So, I timelined 7x12 yesterday...

sloppy spellwork? )

Now, a random comment about Castiel in S6....

Castiel is a douchebag )

In other news: So far today, I have been punched in the thumb by an umbrella, I have sliced my finger open on a take-out container, and I have forgotten the naan. :( I'm really hoping my evening goes better.

I am cat/house-sitting for the next 10 days! Woo! Kitties! Thank goodness for allergy medication.

AN: I basically wrote an AU for episodes 6x22-7x02, for no reason whatsoever, since those episodes were awesome as they were. The scenario for this fic came out of a plot-bunny I had while doing my S6 rewatch.
AN#2: Title is from Hamlet, by Shakespeare.

Summary: Sam doesn't wake up. Dean 'dreamscapes his noggin.'

Dean arrives outside Sam’s apartment. )

Guys, I know I am spamming you today, and I apologize, but I just noticed something wickedly Meta-worthy in the S6 finale

under the cut for those who may not have seen the finale yet )

I do not know what this means, but it is awesome. Now I need to find more caps of the clothing from the episode...

ETA: Also, I think I should take the time at some point to do a list of clothing per episode. Sometimes I have questions like "Is that the shirt that Sam wore in X-episode?" and my current categories don't really cut it for one-click answers.
hells_half_acre: (Dean/Books OTP)
#1. I still have to timeline the last 3 episodes. I will try to do that soon so that I can get the timeline up. (Clothing will wait until the Fall when I have the DVDs).

#2. For those of you who read my Quick Reaction episode reviews. You know that starting at 6x06 and nearly consistently after that, I started to use song lyrics as my LJ-cut-text.

So, I thought, hey - why don't I make this into a game!

I'm going to screen comments on this entry and anyone who is interested can play....

Below is a list of all the lyrics and their respective episodes. All you have to do is name the song and the band. Now, with Google, this contest is pretty easy, but I'd like to think that my love for lesser known Canadian artists might put a bit of a spanner in the works.

THE LYRICS:

6x06 - You Can't Handle the Truth - "Off with his head man, off with his head man, why can't he remember my name? I guess he does."

6x07 - Family Matters - "You beautiful f*cked up man..."

6x08 - All Dogs Go to Heaven - "Every stop I make, I make a new friend..."

6x10 - Caged Heat - "My Daddy was a Rock'n'Roller..."

6x11 - Appointment in Samarra - "Miles of rope to tie down the dying"

6x12 - Like a Virgin - "Anyway, chu content que tu r'viennes..." (*bonus points if you can translate the lyrics - and no, I haven't misspelled anything, that's what French-Canadian sounds like.)

6x13 - Unforgiven - "...with this fire in the head."

6x14 - Mannequin 3: The Reckoning - "Goodbye. Is this how you want it?"

6x15 - The French Mistake - "You may find yourself in a beautiful house with a beautiful wife..."

6x16 - And Then There Were None - "Plug your ears, cover your eyes, don't listen, don't listen..."

6x17 - My Heart Will Go On - "One way or another, I'm going to getcha getcha getcha..."

6x18 - Frontierland - "It rained all night the day I left, the weather it was dry...

6x19 - Mommy Dearest - "Your shadow turns you ugly"

6x20 - The Man Who Would Be King - "With every bridge you burn, with every lesson you unlearn"

6x21 - Let It Bleed - "You don't even know how to say goodbye..."

6x22 - The Man Who Knew Too Much - "The air outside will make our cells divide at an alarming rate..."

In a few days or a week or so, I'll post the answers and maybe one of those online playlists, if I can figure out how to make one.

If anyone gets all of them, they win a prize! I don't know what that prize is though! Maybe the winner can decide or maybe it will just be eternal glory.

If there's absolutely no contestants, I will still post the playlist, because I like my music goddammit!

SO, GUESS THE SONG! (Or google-cheat...I may never know the difference!)
hells_half_acre: (Sneaky Castiel)
Alright boys and girls....here we go...

Two episodes, two different cut texts, two sets of lyrics that I pulled from the songs my iPod shuffled to on the walk home...

You don't even know how to say goodbye... )

The air outside will make our cells divide at an alarming rate... )

Oh man, whatever happens, I am nervous and excited....

hells_half_acre: (...shit)
Man oh man. I'm sober tonight folks, and I think even if I had drunk copious amounts of wine, that episode would have sobered me up pretty fast anyway.

Such an awesome episode. Ben Edlund is an evil genius, and I do indeed feel like I've received a  golden punch in the face...

So, where do we begin...

With every bridge you burn, with every lesson you unlearn... )

Two weeks...two weeks....OH MAN.
hells_half_acre: (Shocked!Dean)
Alright! Home again...I've had a MODERATE amount of wine tonight, so those of you who feared for me developing alcoholism in order to please you can rest assured that it hasn't happened yet...

On with the episode, which was funnier than I thought it was going to be....

Your shadow turns you ugly... )

So, what did you guys think? Theories and speculation in the comments please! BUT NO SPOILERS! And no theories BASED on spoilers...seriously, I don't want "well, according to some stuff I've heard, I think that that Dean is going to...." NO SPOILERS WHATSOEVER!

hells_half_acre: (Trust the Trenchcoat)
Ok, after having delicious dinner and tons of wine at my friends' house, my other friend (who just moved to town) was lured into a bar with live music on our way home, and we drank EVEN MORE WINE...and now it is EVEN LATER...and um...yeah, so let's see how much of this episode I can remember, and how coherent I am...

It rained all night the day I left, the weather it was dry. Sun so hot I froze to death... )

Ok, let me know what I missed, or what your favorite part was...or that I should swear and drink less next week (or swear and drink more?)

hells_half_acre: (OfficeDean)
Hello! Back after another long hiatus, yay! I have a friend visiting this week, so no ipod music for cut-text, instead I'm going to use a song from the show...and no, not that one...

One way or another, I'm going to getcha getcha getcha... )

Until next week (for which I am already a little spoiled...but don't spoil anything in the comments, in case someone else out there isn't...)

hells_half_acre: (Ladles are funny)
Such a good episode tonight...you can always count on Ben Edlund to bring the goods.

On this very special occasion, I'm going to go off iPod for my cut-text lyrics (mainly because my iPod chose to play a bunch of epic Radiohead songs on the way home, and as lovely as the songs were, they did not fit with the episode...)

So, on to the episode....

You may find yourself in a beautiful house with a beautiful wife... )

So...tell me your favourite bit in comments!! I obviously do not have it together enough to write anything more coherent than this right now :P
hells_half_acre: (Sam's a badass)

Alright folks, let's just jump right in, as I'm sure we were all on the edge of our seat after last week...

Goodbye. Is this how you want it? )

Alright, that's all she wrote! Until next week (which I'm spoiled for and REALLY REALLY can't wait to see...) don't spoil next week in comments though! Just in case others aren't spoiled yet!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've been awake for 19 hours and need to go pass out now....(19 hours is a lot for someone who doesn't drink caffeine).
hells_half_acre: (Sam strung-out)
 Hello!

I'm back!  Ok, so I'm having a bit more difficulty remembering this one, also it's a little bit difficult to type...but don't worry! Once I get into the swing of things, I'm sure my coordination and memory will return....

...with this fire in my head. )

Hope you all enjoyed the episode. Judging by comments on my previous post, it sounds like there were audio problems for some of you :(

PS: I should mark where I started using lyrics for my cut-text and run a contest to see who can correctly name the most songs.
hells_half_acre: (Hug)
WE'RE BACK!

Ok, so before Christmas, the text I was using for my cut text was usually selected from a song that played on my ipod on the walk home from my friends house - today, for some reason, my ipod decided to favour my French-Canadian music...so, um, don't let the French in the cut text fool you, it's all English under the cut :)

Anyway, chu content que tu r'viennes )

And now I am sleepy and going to bed. Believe it or not, I've got to work all weekend, so tomorrow is like a Monday for me :(

Let me know what you thought, or what you wished I talked about....
